Diagnosis

Various tests are used to examine basketball injuries, primarily for stabilization of ankle joints. To test the range of motion, balance in ankles, strength, and proprioceptive control of the joint and surrounding muscles, stabilometric platform tests, dorsiflexion lunge tests, and static and dynamic single stance tests are used [8]. To test for general injuries of any body part and evaluate their mobility and stability, warm-up tests like running and walking gaits, ball handling, core stability, and balance training are used [8]. To study basketball players’ physical fitness and dynamics, breath-holding tests, tapping tests, pulse rate, neuromuscular tests, and motor skills tests are used [7]. To analyze the cognitive health of athletes, clinicians use psychological testing to examine their moods and activities [7]. To determine if the athlete has cognitive impairment, they would use heart rate monitors, treadmills, or memory tests and questionnaires [9].
